Position
We make eight objects a year.
Each is produced in an edition of forty, numbered, and then never made again.
Nothing is designed for a catalogue photograph. Every piece is drawn at full size, built in the workshop, and lived with for a season before it is offered.

How they are made
Four people, one room, no catalogue
-
Drawn
Full size, on paper, on the wall
Nothing is designed on a screen at 40% scale. If it does not work drawn at 1:1 on the workshop wall it does not get made.
-
Built
One prototype, lived with
The first of every edition stays in the studio for a season. Two objects have been abandoned at this stage.
-
Editioned
Forty, then never again
Each is stamped with its number and the year. When the fortieth ships, the tooling is retired.
